Heaven is Here

Six years ago, I wrote a song with my friend Caroline Craven about how we can experience glimpses of Heaven in our time on Earth. Demo after demo were made but we couldn’t find the right way to put these thoughts about Heaven to music. That was until I brought this song out to my friend Josh Huisman, and he helped me work on a few melody changes to make the chorus pop. Kyla Jones did an excellent job leading the second vocal part, Bill Bowles laid a bass line, and Taylor Jones hammered out some “Phil Collins” drums to bring it all together. The result is a powerful song of prayer and worship meant to point us to Jesus and to help us feel how near God is to us. Even when we don’t understand why things happen, I pray this song helps you to see God’s continual providence. He will never leave you or forsake you. Heaven is Here.
